Park at Long Bay Campground, on the left side by the sea (day use parking) and go across the carpark to begin the walk. Clean your footwear on arrival and departure at the shoe-cleaning station to help prevent the spread of kauri dieback disease. There is a shorter loop via the service road and coastal track if you’re bringing a leashed dog. (No dogs on kauri section of track but okay on leash on beach track and service road.)
