Oamaru Bay

Just 12 minutes’ drive from Coromandel Town is Oamaru Bay.
A lovely, long and safe beach with an area roped off for picnics.
There is a swing is hanging in the tree and the diving/jumping float, goes out each summer for the children and adults to use.

“When my grandson could not swim out that far, he would paddle out on his kayak, tie it up and then dive and jump into the water”.

There is an excellent boat ramp that is very popular with fishermen to launch your boat from.Having you out at some of the best fishing spots in Coromandel in a very short time.
Take a picnic and spend the day. Toilet facilities at the end of the beach.
