See the harvesting barges in action, working the myriad mussel farms in and around Coromandel Harbour and enjoy our awesome scenery at the same time.

We are based at Hannafords Wharf on Te Kouma Rd, 7.5 km from Coromandel Town.

Mussel Barge Snapper Safaris was established in Coromandel Town in 1997. Originally owned by Roy and Gay Andrews, who spent many years working on the mussel barges during the week and taking people out fishing on the weekend. In 1999, son-in-law Darryl, and wife Megan, purchased the business from Roy and Gay.
