First transformed from farmland into a destination garden in 1964, Rapaura has grown into a world-class attraction, earning the title ‘Garden of National Significance’ and a 5-star rating from the New Zealand Gardens Trust, the only one of its kind on the Coromandel.

There are 2 accommodation choices, a lodge and a cottage.  Both are self-catering and breakfast provisions are provided.

The Lodge, crafted from native Rimu and Cedar, offers 2 bedrooms and timeless architectural appeal. With the living and dining room, kitchen and master bedroom on the first floor, the feeling is of living in luxury tree house.

A cosy 1 bedroom Country Cottage provides further accommodation for 2.

Stocked with music, books and games, the property offers an escape from the bustle of daily life and a rare balance of peaceful seclusion and modern connectivity.

A series of natural streams feed the spectacular ‘Seven Stairs to Heaven’ waterfall, which become our guests private playground when the gates are closed.  Winding paths, tranquil bridges, and abundant birdlife make this a true sanctuary for the senses.
